Reporting Season Madness
Hi Everyone
I hope everyone is managing through what seems to be a very volatile reporting season thus far as we enter the home straight with all the quality names in this end of the market to report before the open on Monday 3rd of March đ.
Anyway, January got off to a subdued start, with the S&P Emerging Companies Index TR up only 0.38% for the first month of the year. Let's hope it starts as it means to go on type year, and we have a positive year for microcaps overall. Despite all the reporting season market machinations, the microcap index is holding up pretty well, up 1.07% for the month as of the close of trade on February 25th. Let us see where we close out the week and the month on Friday. Hopefully, we can hold onto the gains.
Upcoming Coffee Microcaps Zoom Webinar Events
For anyone who doesnât know, I regularly host presentations from ASX Microcap companies via Zoom Webinars. Two or four companies usually present Thursday mornings from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. AEDT Sydney time.

Content Recommendation
As part of this newsletter, I also want to highlight some good content worth sharing with my subscribers.
I recently listened to a podcast with Jan-Hendrik Mohr, the CEO of Chapters Group, a German company listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Chapters Group is somewhat of a hybrid of Constellation Software and Berkshire Hathaway, focusing on mission-critical businesses for the respective businessâs customers. Most of the 40+ investment companies in which it has full or partial stakes are in the software space, but it also has financial services, education and other industries. It's an interesting model that crosses the strategies of two famed investors in, Leonard & Buffet. With the Buffet annual letter just released for 2024, I thought this might be a nice add-on podcast when you are in the investment holding/compounder zone of thinking.
